The results are in! 2025 Open competition category winners and shortlist have been revealed.
Set up to celebrate dynamic and inspiring photographic work currently created in Latin America, the World Photography Organisation and Sony Latin America created the Latin America Professional Award.
With thousands of people across the planet viewing the successful projects, the aim is for these photographers to benefit from publishing deals, gallery representation and international coverage.
*Please note: to be considered for the Latin America Professional Award, participants must have the nationality of one of the following Latin American countries and reside in any of these during the period of the award being open for entries (June 1, 2024- January 2025) Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay.

All photographers from Latin American countries* entering bodies of work (five to ten images) to any of the ten categories in the Sony World Photography Awards’ Professional competition will be considered for the Latin America Professional Award.
*Please note: to be considered for the Latin America Professional Award, participants must have the nationality of one of the following Latin American countries and reside in any of these during the period of the award (June 1, 2024 - January 2025) Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico and Peru.
