A self-taught black-and-white photographer, taking Ansel Adams’ Photography series as bible and Henri Cartier-Bresson’s ‘the decisive moment’ as inspiration. Anthony Chan uses photography to seize a transient moment in full tonality and lend it with a certain timelessness. The images capture people in different settings, be they in solitude or moving in droves, under shades of shadow and light, sparking a tad of drama and stories in the scenes.
