WINNER

A huge congratulations to Owen Harvey from the UK, you win a FREE 50 image bundle to enter 50 more images to our Open competition, plus exposure on our online platforms!

On the 7th June 2020, the statue of Edward Colston was pulled down in protest in Bristol city centre. This cast a spotlight on statues we walk past every day and what they represent. Ayesha is a black female Great Britain Fencer who has represented England in the Commonwealth and Senior British Championships. She has her ambition set on the Olympics. We explored the symbolism behind the sword and the use of plinths both in the presentation of statues and winners within sports. Ayesha and I decided to make images celebrating her strength, ambition and achievements. History has shown us statues that represent what people in the past chose to celebrate and memorialise, this piece demonstrates the legacies we celebrate today.

SECOND PLACE

Great job Hardijanto Budyman from Indonesia! You win a 20 image bundle.

This image, which I've called Hide and Seek, shows how the human's mind is a playground! It is a place where we can have so much fun to play with our imagination, our ideas, our inspirations and our creativity!

THIRD PLACE

Brilliant work Ngoc Van Nguyen from Vietnam, you win a 10 image bundle!

After every sea trip, fishing nets are often torn, so this is a daily job in the waters of Ninh Thuan, Vietnam. This staged shots highlights the traditions of the region.
