We featured Daniel on the World Photography Organisation Instagram feed, showcasing a collection of his travels from around the world.
Hi Daniel. Tell us more about the images we feature on our Instagram feed
The photos featured show some of my favorite places around the world. From centuries old castles in Germany to mountain landscapes of the Alps and Canada as well as the Arctic high up in Finland. You will quickly see that I have a passion for mountains and cold places as well as unstable weather - in my opinion these is basis for a good photo.
Do you have a favourite, and why?
This image reminds me of a great trip - Canoeing 3 days around Lake Maligne in Canada with some great people.
Why photography?
It's my medium to share my travels and let people be part on it - furthermore photography has always had a place in my life since I graduated school.
How do the various social platforms - Instagram in particular - help you (or hinder you) with your work?
They help me to connect to brands, and more important find and meet up with fellow photographers who share the same passion.
Do you have a photographic philosophy?
I want people to get out, motivate them to do the same and see all the beautiful places that our world has to offer.
What's next for you?
This year I'm planning to be mainly in Europe - I will explore the Alps for the next weeks and maybe go up North to Norway later on. Before I will spend half of my summer on the Faroe Islands together with my girlfriend.
