We're working with Sony Pictures Television and the United Nations Foundation for Picture This, a global video competition that inspires a positive future for people and the planet.
With video being one of the most effective mediums to powerfully communicate a message on an international scale, we're working with Sony Pictures Television and the United Nations Foundation for the latest edition of Picture This, a global video competition for the planet in support of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We've been working closely behind the scenes with these two prestigious organisations and today we are so excited to unveil the 2022 competition to you all.
Video-makers can now enter their submissions through the World Photography Organisation website. We’ve got a whole section dedicated to the competition, including information on prizes (more of that later!) and submissions guidelines to help you get inspired. Over on the Picture This section you’ll also find a brief for you to interpret. Under the title The Time to Act is Now! the 2022 brief is in support of the United Nations’ ActNow campaign, which encourages individual action to help tackle climate change. Videos should inspire viewers to address one or more of the issues highlighted in the eight climate-focused SDGs we have chosen with Sony Pictures Television and the United Nations Foundation. You can find the eight SDGS - and more information about each individual goal - on the Picture This webpages.
Also new for this year are even more opportunities to win, with positions for one overall winner, two finalists and a shortlist (up to seven). First prize has a whole package of benefits for video-makers of any level, including $1,000, a Sony Alpha camera plus more.
Picture This champions the protection and preservation of people and the planet with a call to act now, take a look at the competition and enter for free before 5 July, 2022!
