Every Friday the team at the World Photography Organisation will be showcasing images to help uplift, entertain and – most importantly – inspire you to keep taking pictures. For this week, we've selected nine meditative images linked to Zen photography. With the images below, notice each image's negative space, if long exposure or intentional camera movement has been used, and whether the photographer has decided to shoot in black & white. Embracing a Zen-like state into our daily lives can open up creative thinking, helping us to experiment with new ways of shooting. Why not try and practice a little meditative thinking this weekend? It might show you a familiar subject in a whole new light.
