William Abranowicz is an American photographer. He is the author of eight photography based books on domestic life, voting rights, and the environment as well as two books on the country of Greece. His prints are in public and private collections throughout the United States and Europe and have been widely published throughout the world. He taught at Parsons School of Design and lead workshops in The United States and Europe.
Abranowicz's work is carefully and meticulously framed. He works to establish a pulse in a silent image through cinematic and humanistic considerations.
He lives in the Catskill Mountains of New York. He is a father and husband, manages a forest, active in social justice issues, is a licensed falconer, and a former firefighter.
