We are delighted to announced Hsien-Pang Hsieh (19 years old) wins Youth Photographer of the Year 2020 for his monochrome image Hurry, which depicts a street performer who is seemingly walking in a hurry but is in fact standing still. Inspired by his experience as a newly arrived student in Germany, Hsien-Pang sees the image as his comment on the intensive pace of life and a reminder others to slow down.
Alongside worldwide exposure with today’s leading image-makers, Hsein-Pang Hsieh receives a range of Sony digital imaging equipment to nurture his vision.
‘It is a huge honour to win the Youth Photographer of the Year in the biggest photography competition in the world! Photography is my favourite hobby and seeing my work recognised really means a lot to me.’
