From one week to the next, it’s such a privilege to surf through the latest images entered into the Sony World Photography Awards Open competition. A highlight of my week is certainly when I get the chance to sit down and spend time looking through such a range of work by such hugely talented photographers. Every entry brings its defining mark to the competition, and while some images demonstrate a higher skill level than others, each entry shows me someone’s individual way of seeing – a fascinating window into how we view the world and what we take from it.
