2019 Sony World Photography Awards - Category Winner, Natural World & Wildlife, Open Competition
Tracey Lund is a photographer from Hull who specialises in Wildlife. She works shifts as an engineer at her local telecommunications company and in her spare time, she travels near and far to photograph wildlife. Tracey has always enjoyed photography and loved wildlife but when she went on her dream trip to Africa in 2004, she started to take the two more seriously. Tracy's passion for wildlife has taken her around the world and there is nothing she loves doing more. She tries hard to show that passion through her images. She spends hours in the field and what some people don’t understand is that some feelings you get are priceless…it is a true blessing to be able to take the time to sit and watch wildlife let alone photograph it. Sometimes it’s more important to experience the moment rather than miss it taking photos. There is no better feeling than having those magical moments that will probably never be repeated but stay with you forever. These are the moments that come back to Tracy when looking at her images. Photography makes her smile and she feels so lucky in doing what she does.
