US President Donald Trump wants to build a border wall along the total length of the continental border, that is 1,954 miles (3,145 km), aimed at preventing illegal crossings from Mexico into the United States. His administration has submitted a figure of $25 billion dollars to Congress. A partial federal shutdown was put in motion because of gridlock in Congress over funding for President Trump's Mexican border wall.
