Monica Suder

Monica Suder works internationally with the photographic community as a creative and career coach, consultant, lecturer, and panelist.

She brings to her multi-cultural practice over 35 years of professional experience in the USA and Europe. She has been an award-winning photo editor and has worked as a director of photography and consultant. As an editor, she worked at Magnum Photos, Time-Life, Rolling Stone and other publications in the USA.

Suder has taught graduate students in photography in San Francisco and has been a popular guest lecturer at the renowned School of Visual Arts in New York.

As a consultant and coach, Monica assists photographers around the world in carving out a creative identity and in developing special fine art projects. She edits portfolios, websites and photo books and helps photographers meet today’s ever-increasing challenges in the photographic market places around the world.

Suder is an experienced portfolio reviewer at festivals and art fairs. She has been a guest reviewer at the Rencontres d’Arles in France for years, as well as in New York and San Francisco.

She has been a juror for the Sony World Photography Awards and has written a monthly column for www.worldphoto.org.

Suder has taught graduate students in photography in San Francisco and has been a popular guest lecturer at the renowned School of Visual Arts in New York.

She moved her base to Berlin, Germany and commutes to New York and San Francisco as well as other cities in Europe.
