This year's festival will present five nights of programming in the popular Beer Garden, supported by Smorgasburg and Brooklyn Brewery beers. There will be numerous workshops, an education day for New York City middle and high-school students, supported by the New York City’s Mayor’s Office, and three days of panel discussions and talks.

This exhibition/documentary traces the lives of five West African women, emphasizing the exceptional contribution of women to development. The images come from Guinea, Liberia, Niger, Nigeria, and Senegal, and were captured by Sylvain Cherkaoui. The documentary was made by Nick Loomis.
