
Carol Allen Storey is dedicated photojournalist specializing in chronicling complex humanitarian and social issues, especially amongst women and children.
Storey’s work has been exhibited internationally. Her solo exhibitions in London were ‘Anything is Possible’ at the Association of Photographers Gallery 2009, ‘The Vanishing Assets of Africa’ at Inmarsat Gallery, 2007 and ‘The Savagery and Poetry of Africa’ at the Proud Gallery 2006. Her work has been published in magazines, books, and brochures. Installations of her photography appear in corporate HQs and commercial premises. In 2009 she was appointed a UNICEF ambassador. Carol was a finalist in the Taylor Wessing Portrait Awards at the National Portrait Gallery, 2009, and a finalist for social documentary 2009 New York Photography Festival. In 2008 she was selected for the Press Photographer’s Year exhibition and book and in both 2008 and 2009 she was a finalist in the International Spider Awards for photo journalism and portraiture.
In 2000 Carol graduated Central St. Martins, Master Photography programme with distinction. She also earned a BA at Syracuse University and an MA at Columbia University.
