After her bachelor degree in 2010, Severin was employed as an interior architect combined with her own projects in the field of installation, art direction and photography.

We featured a selection of her images on the @worldphotoorg feed.

Hi Tekla. Please introduce your self and your photography to our audience

Hey! I'm an interior architect nowadays, freelancing in mostly set design, creative direction and photography. I'm from Sweden and have been based in Stockholm for 15 years now.

Tell us about the series of images we featured. Do you have a favourite, and why?

Yes, I love the second image you featured (Muralla Roja). I like the timelessness in it, and besides, it was so special to visit and shoot this iconic building.

Why photography? What does the medium mean to you?

It gives me the freedom to do my own interpretation/telling my own point of view and the satisfaction of doing that. And I love the flow of the process itself. My profession as an interior architect has always had compromises that I don't feel with photography.

Do you have a photographic philosophy?

Trust your gut feeling and to dare.

What inspires you?

Everything around me; it could be a corner at a backstreet or famous architecture when travelling. Also other medias as graphic design, art, fashion etc.
