Pick of the pics!

Looking back over previous winners and shortlists in the Sony World Photography Awards is a reminder of how much photography is changing. What we rewarded in the first edition of the Awards is different from what we're looking at with interest now. Of course, this is a given in the arts industry as what people capture is often a reflection of their time, or an exploration of the latest techniques, trends or use of devices that have just hit the shelves.

Having the ability to grow, still be inquisitive and confidence to change is worth aiming for. It is important to be faced with the new and something our jury looks for while they review your images during the rigorous judging process. We encourage you to submit your latest images and embrace how you saw 2022 differently. Enter up to three images to the Open competition now, closes in just over two weeks.
