The Masterclass International Photography Festival of Bogotá in Colombia brings together more than 2,500 photographers for one weekend at the CUBE Colsubsidy in Bogota, Colombia. Opening this Saturday, the festival is now in its sixth year. Speaking about the event, Director and Founder César Pérez says how it is a ‘great space for the Colombian photographic industry’ and has ‘been growing with each edition’ so it now involves a vast range of photographic disciplines. The festival presents a line-up of workshops on documentary photography, nature photography, portraiture and fashion, as well as 20-minute portfolio reviews and dedicated spaces to network with like-minded individuals. Visitors can also enjoy a range of inspiring talks, with keynote speakers including documentary, human rights and gender photographer Greta Rico, travel, documentary and portrait photographer John Quintero plus researcher and curator Pedro Karp Vásquez.
Alongside its full programme, the festival will brings a range of photography exhibitions, including a digital display of images from the Latin America Professional Award and the Latin America National Award. The winning Open Photographer of the Year image by Dinorah Graue Obscura will also be on show.
