To celebrate the international scope of the Sony World Photography Awards, for the 2020 Open competition we partnered with Agora Hospitalities to give one lucky entrant an inspirational eight-night trip to Japan. We had an amazing number of entries, all so diverse in subject matter and approach. We are delighted to announce the winner is Gabriela Patrascan, from Romania, with her monochrome image Chinese Paper Theatre. The judges felt Gabriela's photograph was well seen and its asymmetry was intriguing. Gabriela wins a return economy flight plus three-night stay at Agora Place Asakusa (Tokyo), a three-night stay at Agora Place Namba (Osaka), and a two-night stay at Agora Kanazawa (Kanazawa).
