Tender moments, pensive monkeys and flamenco dancers

The much-loved Entries of the Week is a weekly segment highlighting photographs recently entered into the Sony World Photography Awards 2025 Open competition. The Open competition rewards striking single images as opposed to series, which the Professional competition is dedicated to. If you've got strong standalone photographs that catch the viewer's eye but don't belong in the context of a project, then the Open competition is the right choice for you.

We're now onto the second week of our highlights, bringing you tender moments, pensive monkeys, flamenco dancers and more! The monthly winner, chosen out of weekly segment, receives a 50 Image bundle to enter into the Open competition. And as for the overall winner, picked out of monthly winners? Their image will be shown at the major London exhibition!
