Are you a photographer or filmmaker driven by a passion for social or environment-focused storytelling?

The 2025 Sustainability Prize programme, launched by Creo and Sony, is now open and ready for submissions! This exciting initiative is part of both the Sony World Photography Awards and Sony Future Filmmaker Awards, and seeks creators highlighting the world’s most pressing challenges with a specific focus on environment, accessibility, and diversity, equity and inclusion.

Photographers and filmmakers from across the globe are invited to submit works that address topics ranging from community-focused efforts to groundbreaking technological innovations aimed at fostering a more sustainable, inclusive and accessible future.

Each winner will receive $5,000, Sony digital imaging equipment and promotion via our channels with an audience of over 1 million people.

Do your projects aim to promote a sustainable, inclusive, diverse and accessible future for our planet through creative storytelling?

Submit a series of 5 to 10 social or environment-focused photographs for free into one of the Professional competition’s ten categories for a chance to win the grand prize.

Previous winners included Kathleen Orlinsky (United States) for America’s First Wilderness and Alessandro Dalpozzo (Italy) for Atrapanieblas (Fog Nets).
