With the 2020 Open competition closing on January 7, 2020 we'll be showcasing some of our favorite images from past Sony World Photography Awards. The cultural images you see here were chosen for their power to communicate a visual narrative as well as the photographer's excellent technical and creative skills. International in scope and subject matter, this collection celebrates the rich diversity of photography today.
