3rd Place, "Morne A Cabri" by Corentin Fohlen
The village of Lumane Casimir in Haiti is an example of the cacophony of problems that pervade reconstruction projects in the country. Lack of housing, corruption, poor project management, disengagement from the state, ill-conceived and badly managed humanitarian projects and destroyed natural resources all contribute. This project to deliver 3,000 houses has delivered only 1,500 homes since 2012. Every year since the start of the project I have photographed the village to show how much has or hasn’t changed.
