The National and Regional Awards support photographers from around the world at all stages of their career. A special programme within the Sony World Photography Awards, the National and Regional Awards recognises the best talent within a country or region, and spotlights them on both local and international levels.

As part of the initiative, each participating country or region selects photographers from a competition of their choice in the Sony World Photography Awards. The recognised photographers receive a range of career-defining prizes, particular to their specific country or region.

The Awards acknowledge photographers holding the nationality of a particular country or region*.

*Note: Photographers from Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Qatar will be considered if they hold the respective country’s residency.
