Bio

Emmanuel Arewa, Born 4th January 198*. A freelance photographer based in Lagos, Nigeria. Studied Banking and Finance at the Osun State Polytechnic, Osun State, Nigeria.

Started Photography as a wedding photographer in 2009. Later caught interest in photojournalism, which led to obtaining a proficiency certificate in photojournalism in 2011 at The Nigeria Institute of Journalism.

My works ranges from Photojournalism, Documentary, Events and Portraits. Some of my works has received audience through local and international medias such as, The New York Times, The Guardian UK, The Guardian Nigeria, Daily Trust Nigeria, MSNBC, Google news, Afripol, Bay Ledger and many more.

Also, partaken in two group exhibition which includes: Etisalat Photography Competition Finalists – Victoria Island, Lagos and Nigeria Institute Of Journalism, Ikeja – Lagos.
Presently works as a freelance photojournalist/documentary artist for Agence france Presse (AFP) and The Guardian Newspapers, Nigeria.
