This group of children was having a blast splashing about in the waterfall. With their melodious laughter permeating the air, even I could not resist the temptation of joining them in their merry fun.

This is a wonderful picture. Is it diminished because someone else took a a similar photo at the same place? I will have to think about that. It is not the same photo, but a photo of the same subject. Does this mean we can't submit what we feel is unique of a subject that has been explored before? I find these ideas worthy of consideration. I am not sure where I stand on them.

this photograph is a FAKE...look at the water supposedly coming out of the buckets...that just doesn't happen...try it...those arcs are painted on...because it's trying to fool people,for me,it's the worst shot possible....

I agree, i don't think any of it looks "real" though it would be a great shot for the "enhanced" category. Its still beautiful -- but -- in all fairness -- seems its been placed in the incorrect category. . . . There is nothing "wrong" with enhancing or compositing images per se . . . it would just be nice if photographers were up front about it when they do it.

I'm a bit surprised that some people are flagging this as "plagiarism." The other photos that were linked to are of the same subject, taken at the same location, but they're not the same photograph. This photo was taken at a dam near a village in Bali. It's a popular spot for kids to play, and because of this (and the light in the morning) it's a popular place to photograph kids tossing water around.

So it might not be the most original photo in the world, but it is NOT plagiarism! Are you people seriously saying that because one person has already photographed this, no one may every photograph it again? Does that also mean no one can photograph Mardi Gras in New Orleans, or an elephant on the African savannah, or the CN Tower in Toronto, because someone has already photographed it?

"Plagiarism" is a serious charge. This is not plagiarism. It's perfectly valid for you to vote it down, or to point out other people's photographs of the same subject, but be careful how you toss around the "P" word.
