Your Profile

  • Who can see my profile?

Your profile is visible to anyone using the WPO website, including non-members. It is up to you how much information you wish to publish.

  • What appears on my profile?

This is your space to tell other users a little bit about yourself and to share your images. Your profile will display all of the information set in the profile tab in your account area, together with any galleries you have created. More information will appear on your profile when new features are added in the future.

  • What is my 'display name' for?

This is how you will be known to other members. Your display name will appear on your profile and whenever you post images and other content on the website. It could be your full name or a nickname. You can change your display name as often as you like.

  • What is the 'bio' field for?

This is a space to write a little bit about yourself. You might like to give some background information about your photographic history and interests.

  • Can I link to my own website and social networking profiles?

Yes, you can create links to your Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and Orkut profiles, or your own websites, on the Profile tab in your member area. Select the 'Web Links' option and follow the instructions. Your links will appear on your profile for all to see.

  • How do I change my profile URL?

When you first register, your profile will have a generic numerical URL. If you prefer, you can change this to something more personal, e.g. http://worldphoto.org/profile/yourname/. You can find this setting in the profile tab in your member area.
